I've never been ushered into safety in Wal-Mart before. That was quite the storm.

Today is such a beautiful day! Sunny, fluffy clouds... breezy, warm. Plus I'm wearing a skirt, which makes the day even more delightful.

After forgetting for half the day that today is the day, I finally registered for next semester's classes about an hour or so ago. It will be an odd (but nice) semester mostly due to the fact that I will be taking hardly any music classes. Quite strange after taking mostly music classes the first four semesters! It will be a welcome break, though. Instead of slaving away at music theory, piano practicing, and sight-singing (bleah), I will be studying fun things like Shakespeare (hurrah!), political thought, French, and theology. Tantalizing.

This lovely Spring weather is giving me a rush of energy-- time for a walk outside!

All this time on break, and tomorrow I will finally get my act together and mail my best friend's birthday and Christmas presents. I am such a bad person.

It was snowing (actually, flurry-ing) a moment ago, and now the sun's out. Bizarre! But that's one of the best things about living on this mountain: the ever-morphing weather.

Only an hour-and-a-half until our Monopoly marathon begins! Woohoo!

Today the sky has deepened and the air hangs heavy with frost. Today feels like Autumn, at long last, clean and crisp. The leaves have yet to turn, but the world is ready and watching. A hot cup of chai is a welcome guest.

Though I believe Summer to be the best and happiest of seasons, Autumn follows close behind. It is impossible to ignore the comforts of the rediscovered warmth of that cheerful, fuzzy sweater, or the beauty of the trees decked in glory. Not to mention the prospect of snuggling with him.

It is a magnificent paradox of comfort and regality. How we shame it by calling it Fall.

It is such a horribly dreary day outside. Rain drizzles down, and fog envelops the mountain in a dim, gray haze. The colors are all out-of-sorts: everything has acquired a dull, grayish hue. I half believe that if I traveled long enough, I would eventually light upon Lewis's bus station. Today does indeed feel like his Grey Town.

The only proper thing to do on such a day is sleep, but I am chained to this desk, for today I must do long, tedious work. Important work, yes-- in the long run. But today it is scarcely to be bourne.

Oh, for a bit of sun to illuminate this gray earth and bring back the vivid reality of life. Oh, for a patch of truly green, dry grass, blue sky, yellow warmth, and endless afternoon in which to enjoy it.

Perhaps tomorrow.
