Thanksgiving with the fam was wonderful. I got sick (and now Matt is sick), but we still had a great time, and my little nieces were pretty well-behaved, and I have lots of pictures! I'll upload them later this afternoon.

Isabella (my 3-yr-old niece), during the long, dead-of-night drive to Georgia: Liesl, what are you doing?
Me: I'm trying to sleep. Go to sleep, Isabella.
(silence)
Isabella: What are you doing now??
Me: Still trying to sleep! Be quiet and lie down.
(silence)
Isabella: Maybe I'll sleep when we get to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Me: Nope, then it'll be morning. Go to sleep.
Isabella: But I'm looking outside.
Me: There's nothing to see. It's dark. Go to sleep.
(silence)
Isabella: Liesl, what are you doing now??
Me: *sigh*

It's supposed to snow tomorrow. Like, for reals. There's a 90% chance. *is shocked*

I hope each of you are enjoying this blessed day, with family close about you. I am, and in celebration of this event, I am going to act on the "M" Hannah bestowed upon me some days ago.

Ten "M" things I am thankful for...

1) Matt. Obvious, no? I am so thankful for my sweet, caring husband. I am still overwhelmed at the thought that I get to be his wife.

2) Marriage. It is one of the best and most delightful forms of sanctification that God created. He is so gracious.

3) Mothers. What would I do without my Mommy?? She has taught me so well how to love.

4) Medicine. I am especially thankful for it on days like today, when this sickness would be making me feel far worse without it.

5) Music. The world would be so bland and inarticulate without it.

6) Monographs. That's a fancy word for books. Knowledge would be so hard to come by without them.

7) Money. As much as it bugs me, I am so thankful to have enough of it that we live comfortably, without a single worry as to where the next meal will come from. Truly, we are abundantly blessed in this area.

8) Motorized vehicles. They make the world a better place, yes indeed.

9) Movies. The good ones teach us so much about ourselves and the world in which we live.

10) Mocha frappuccinos. Frivolous, yes, but I love them.
