My LiveJournal is now Christmasified. I am quite pleased.

Many thanks to my own for help with the hand-tinting. I think I'll keep you.

I post disgustingly seldom. (but not today, haha!)

Once it was see somebody, get excited, get married. Now it's read books, fence with four syllable words, psychoanalyze each other... But I can tell you this: when a man and a woman see each other, and like each other, they should come together-- WHAM-- like two taxis on Broadway. Not sit around studying each other like specimens in a bottle. (Rear Window)

Those who thought that my announcement was that I had gotten engaged (*laughs in the direction of a certain person*) are no doubt going to be highly disappointed by the real annoucement. Nevertheless...

...drumroll, please...

After months of on-and-off prodding, my own finally got an LJ. Yay! :)

Okay, so, when you LJing peoples present us with an entry that boasts matching or coordinating moods and music, is that just a coincidence, or do you plan all this out beforehand??

...I stop to post and say that I am thoroughly enjoying everyone's recent icon-and-poll-craziness, and have not forgotten to spend quality time with my own LJ. An atypical entry on the subject of relationships is in the works.

Party on, dudes. ;)

EDIT: why is my little "rushed" guy so mad??

I should be nominated for the LJer With Least to Write award. The truth is that I'm an LJ-addict, but I spend 90% of my LJ time reading other peoples entries. I am such a lazy bum.

I am wearing bronze polish on my toes. Hee hee! That's a big step for a barely-perceptible-colors-only girl like me. I am also wearing my first pair of Express (GASP) jeans, which I bought yesterday for $10. Oh yeah.

Back to real life now...

I just realized this: exactly one year ago today I began this LiveJournal. What a year it has been.

I love this thing. It's strange now for me to think that once I thought an LJ was only for egocentric, rambling internet-addicts who have forgotten the meaning of real life. (And, may I add, for girls whose entire lives are written in ITALICS??? heheh)

Yeah, and so it is with AIM.

Well, guess I've joined the dark side, eh? ;-)

Strange, too, how lonely it feels when the only online buddies on your list are yourself, RingMessenger, and Smarterchild. None of them can provide good conversation.

I'm afraid I'm too dependent on the internet! Our cable modem was out for most of this week and last, and I felt totally disconnected. (Ha--I was!) I contact most of my friends primarily online (through e-mail, AIM, or whatever), so when I can't get to them I end up feeling horribly alone. Gone are the old days when friends were those who lived nearby. The world is a smaller place these days, but that does not necessarily make it more intimate or personal. In fact, it seems the more ways we create to keep in touch with each other, the less personal our relationships become.

Where did that philosophizing come from? I meant this to be a non-serious entry. I don't feel serious; why am I writing like I do? Weird.

For those of you who don't believe that alternative rock is sinful, check out Third Day's newest CD Come Together. Great stuff: the best CD they've produced yet. I've listened to it as I travel to and from work for a week now, and haven't tired of it yet...

Happy three-day weekend, everyone.
